Body Sculpting Techniques

Body sculpting refers generally to the process of shaping and toning your body. The main focus is to refine and contour the figure, with the added benefit of a better self image and healthier future. Weight loss alone will not result in body sculpting as muscles will still require toning. These days, there are several medically proven methods to achieve body sculpting.

1. Exercise and proper nutrition – Routine workouts accompanied by proper nutrition can help you trim frequent problem areas of the body such as the waist and thighs. The emphasis is on reducing fat and increasing muscle to attain the desired physical shape. Programs must be specifically tailored to the individual and target areas.  Exercises include aerobics to burn fat and weight resistance training to build muscle. Exercise routines must be adhered to approximately three times a week to be effective. Eating nutritious small meals throughout the day is recommended to encourage an active metabolism. Protein intake is essential to promote increased muscle mass while fat consumption is to be avoided.

2. Cosmetic surgery – Liposuction is a cosmetic surgical option available for those seeking to sculpt localized problem areas.  It is not recommended for patients with overall weight concerns. Surgical costs and risks of associated with anesthesia need to be considered. During this procedure, patients are sedated and fat is surgically suctioned out of specified regions. Bruising and discomfort may follow. Scars will be visible at the incision sites. Return to normal routine can usually occur one or two weeks after the procedure. A physician approved diet should be followed after the procedure in order to retain desired results.

3.  Cold laser treatment – The modern FDA approved Zerona laser has helped many to achieve the sculpted look they desire through means of laser fat removal. The Zerona laser emits low level laser light that, in turn, works to emulsify fat within target area cells. Cells become porous during the process, which allows fat to leave the body naturally without any ill effects. Cold Laser treatments usually last about forty minutes, as the safe, noninvasive laser is passed over either side of the body for an equal amount of time. Treatments are recommended to take place several times per week, for a period of approximately two weeks, although some may choose to return for additional treatment.

Zerona Before and After

The Zerona laser before and after results are significant. People will generally see a difference within a period of about six weeks. Many patients have lost an average of 3-8 inches from problem areas such as waists and hips. In addition, there have been no reported side effects associated with laser fat removal. The Zerona laser is not recommended for those who are excessively overweight. In fact, continued good nutrition and ongoing exercise are said to enhance the effects of the laser post-treatment.
